INTERNSHIPS

Sometimes Fight For Zero has openings for interns in its Administrative and Creative Departments. Interns work 15-35 hours/week, depending on course requirements, for academic credit. These internships offer an opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills that involve hands-on learning and allows you to implement your own creative ideas.

Intern Opportunies are as follows:

Editorial Internship

The Editorial Internship is open to students who reside in Florida with an interest in editing and social media communications. Internship duties may include assisting with editorial tasks, assisting with uploading articles, proofreading, writing content, assisting with posting across various social media platforms and other duties as needed. Experience in journalism, yearbook, and strong writing skills is recommended. 

Marketing Internship

The marketing internship is open to students who reside in Florida with an interest in marketing. Internship duties include assisting the Creative Department with daily marketing tasks, assisting with reviewing and analyzing email marketing, assisting with planning and securing event details, assisting with YouTube/Video content and other duties as needed.

Digital Media Internship

The Digital Media Internship is open to students who reside in Florida with an interest in digital media. Internship duties may include assisting the Digital Media team with appropriate research, assisting with video content outlines, preparing and recording videos, producing captivating video content, organizing video advertising, editing videos, assist in professional LIVE streaming content and other duties as needed. 

Pollution Prevention Internship

The Pollution Prevention Internship is open to students who reside in Florida with an interest in environmental and social justice issues. Internship duties may include attending government meetings, community outreach, event organizing and campaigning, and other duties as needed. 

Admin Internship

The Admin Internship is open to students who reside in Florida with an interested in performing various administrative tasks to support our Admin Team's daily activities. Internship duties may include answering or making calls, emailing, updating databases, performing extensive research, making public record or FOIA requests, scheduling and confirming meetings, preparing reports and spreadsheets, participating in events. Experience with Google Docs, Excel, social media, and organization is recommended. 

Admin Internship

The Admin Internship is open to students who reside in Florida with an interested in performing various administrative tasks and support our Admin Team's daily activities. Internship duties may include answering or making calls, emailing, updating databases, scheduling and confirming meetings, preparing reports and spreadsheets, participating in events. Experience with Google Docs, Excel, social media and marketing, and organizational skills is recommended. 

Note: All internships must be for academic credit. Students should treat internships as a professional job opening. Proper attire, resume, and completed application are required during an interview. We are more than willing to work around any student's limited schedule. We will also consider designing an independent study projects targeted to a student's particular area of interest. Interested student should contact the Executive Director for more information at team@fight4zero.org
